European Paper Bag Day
18th October is European Paper Bag Day. This day has been established to celebrate paper carrier bags as sustainable and functional packaging. By celebrating this special day, we want to encourage more people to act responsibly and use, reuse and recycle paper bags.
In order to take part in the celebration and spread the word, Smith Anderson designed a brand new extra strong reusable bag and planned to giveaway 10k of them to local shops in Kirkcaldy on the 18th of October.
Also, for the 3rd European Paper Bag Day, Smith Anderson posted reusable bags to friends and colleagues across Europe. These bags have been photographed in front of European landmarks and participants uploaded their photo to their social media profiles under the #EuropeanPaperBagDay hashtag, in order to take part in the promotion and spread the world.
